okay so i met this kid at a dance, we traded myspace links and he has fallen in love with me, i have gotten countless wierd emials an IMs he claims to be emo, what should i do to get rid of him? i want to let him down easy, hes a nice guy, i guess.

You don't sound like your very old. Sixteen or seventeen, maybe fifteen, I'm guessing. At that age, boys very very very VERY rarely are in LOVE with a girl. They are in LUST or they have a CRUSH. You need to talk to him and tell him that what he is feeling is not love. Also, tell him that you would love to be friends with him and hang out with him, that is if you want to, but that you don't think a romantic relationship would work. If you don't like him as a friend just leave out the part about being friends. As far as the emo thing goes, he probably just said that to get your attention. Like to keep you from breaking it off with him, for fear that he might hurt himself if you do.

and then you be brave enough to tell him exactly why he is not attractive to you...
it will help you see how materialistic you are and it will help him see how he needs to grow and become stronger
