ok my friend live abroad. so i was browsing through myspace and i saw him so i decided to message him. So i wrote him and said "hey (name). so he replied back saying" Hi (my name) whats up? what do you wanted to say, say it now or forever hold your peace. I wish you well" why did he "say it now or forver hold your peace"? sounds crazy to me. i mean i havent spoke to the guy in 8 years! " Does this message sound like it comes form a normal person? i heard he was using drugs. does this message proves that in anyway??

You can't read into things online that much. Just respond and say how you have been and ask him how he has been. He could have just been trying to be funny.

Just take it for what it is and laugh it off... It sounds a bit weird to me but maybe he was trying to be funny? Don't judge, even though it is so easy too.

It is always so hard to read emotion through email, text, messaging etc... So try to keep in mind to not take things the wrong way unless you heard the words, tone and saw the facial expressions face to face.

Then you can form your own opinion - until then just take everything with a grain of salt...

I would just leave the dude alone....

The problem with Myspace is that it is way too easy to contact people that you wouldn't normally see. Great for some, not great for others. In the past eight years have you ever picked up the phone to call him? When he has been in town has he called you? What he means is "he is busy, has a very busy life, and has probably forgotten all about you". I wouldn't bother responding to him since his email to you was not welcoming.
