A guy who happens to live in the same area as me,asked to become my friend via my profile on MySpace.

Iam a gay male %26amp; it is specified on my profile but he doesn't specify his sexuality on his profile.

At present i can only guess as i havent asked him due to the fact that he only contacted me over a week ago.

I do know from what his profile says that he is single,doesn't want kids,%26amp; his into Britney Spears.Also looking at his other MySpace friends a few of them are gay.

I do find him attractive but don't want to upset him or lose a potential friend either.

He has always responded to my replies as have i to his.

Iam not sure what, if any, protocol should be the case in circumstances like this.

I realise this is by no means unique either.Its just i dont want to appear like iam desperate,nor do i want to miss out on a potential opportunity of a relationship if he is looking for one.

Finally his profile does say looking for dating,friendship,mates in that order.

maybe asking him to tell you little bit about himself. he may tell you if he's in a relationship. if not ask him if he has girlfriend. he should tell you then. good luck
